WEEK 1

Let's Get Started
Live Session

We begin with a live, interactive cohort session. This is your chance to meet your fellow learners, get to know your instructors, and dive right into the course material together.

WEEK 2

The BIG Picture
Self-paced

We look at methods for data analysis, historical research, political analysis, and the impact of spiritual movements on social change.

WEEK 3

Looking Inward
Self-paced

We delve into the leadership roles and relationships that exist within the congregation and are introduced to Active Inquiry. Additionally, we will explore the nature of conflict. We will analyze how conflict can serve as a constructive force or, conversely, as a destructive force that hinders progress and undermines relationships.

WEEK 4

Looking Outward
Self-paced

Learn the essential skills to effectively lead rooted faith communities. Master the power of storytelling, navigate complex conflicts with grace, and drive effective change that resonates. Gain practical tools and frameworks for real-world application and lasting influence.

WEEK 5

Looking Forward
Self-paced

We explore various models and possibilities for the future of ministry, equipping congregations to navigate challenges and discern God's guidance. We examine three main pathways: sustaining ministry, revitalizing ministry, and concluding a ministry. We consider essential legal aspects for congregations undergoing transitions and tools to effectively manage these transitions.

WEEK 6

Final Projects
Live Session

Students will use course models to share a personal story of navigating duress. They will reflect on its impact on their leadership and relationship to their current situation. After listening to a colleague’s story, they will respond by retelling the story, focusing on expression, imagery, personal resonance, and impact.
